Do I Need a Business Address

Short answer? YES!

When you start a business, there's a lot of things to consider, but perhaps the most important is, what address will you use? The IRS, your vendors, the bank, the state tax office, your mobile phone provider...all of these will need an address, and for most, a PO Box won't do. You may be tempted to use your home address, but this is a mistake. It may seem like no big deal at first, but as you grow your business, do you really want clients knowing where you live? A Business Address not only protects your privacy, it also projects a more professional image. When you set up your Business Address with NWA Workplaces, you get a real street address, not a PO Box, and you don't have to share the location of your home with anyone.

You can set up a business address and still use your home address for deliveries. But when it comes time to receive tax bills, bank statements, business licenses, and IRS notifications, you will be glad you have an official Business Address.

The staff at NWA Workplaces can, at your direction, open and scan your mail the very day it arrives, so you never have to wait for a weekly or monthly package of forwarded mail. And once your mail has been scanned, it can be shredded and discarded so you never have to deal with paper mail again. Additionally, at your request, junk mail can be automatically discarded, further streamlining how you conduct business and spend your time.

SOME OTHER THINGS TO CONSIDER:

  • Remember that for each company, you will be required to complete a Post Office form 1583 and show two forms of ID.

  • Should you wish to have access to all your mail physically rather than online, you can choose to have an on-site mailbox .

  • If you don't anticipate receiving much mail the Virtual option may be best for you. Virtual is also best in the event you have chosen a Business Address that is not in the same area as your residence.

  • We also offer Virtual Receptionist services and FAX services, should you decide VOIP or an additional mobile phone number aren't for you.
